Description
CODEX Seraphinianus is an illustrated Encyclopedia of an imaginary world, created by the Italian artist, architect and industrial designer Luigi Serafini and first published in 1981. It contains hand-drawn, color-pencil illustrations with surreal motifs where different entities are morphed together, borrowing traits from one another, such as bleeding fruit, plants that grow into the shape of a chair or lovers who metamorphose into an alligator. It is within the covers of this book that Eton’s designers have found their inspiration for Eton’s new, wondrous collection.
