HOW TO TIE YOUR SCARF
Whether you’re wearing it as a sartorial statement or just want to keep warm when the temperature drops – the scarf is a smart way to alternate your autumn look. Made in Italy and Scotland from the finest wool fibre, our scarves fit any weather, occasion and style. Discover our tips and tricks below on how to nail that sophisticated, yet effortless, autumn look.
THE DRAPE KNOT
One of the most classy ways of wearing your scarf. The Drape is ideal for any occasion where you want to stay sharp while not having to hide your shirt and tie. Simply hang the scarf around your neck and under your overcoat to keep it in place. Although it doesn’t cover much of your neck it’s actually more warming than you think.
FOUR IN HAND KNOT
Soften your tailoring with this nonchalant, yet sophisticated knot. Start by folding the scarf in half and put it around your neck. The two ends should be on one side and the loop on the other. Pull one of the ends through the loop and then twist the loop. Pull the other end through the loop and adjust the knot. Voilà! There you have a perfect four-in-hand knot
THE PARISIAN
A warming classic that is made in a second. Fold the scarf in half and hang it around your neck. Pull the loose ends through the loop and tighten the knot. For a more relaxed look, fold the scarf asymmetrically with one end longer than the other.
THE ONCE AROUND KNOT
Old-school movie stars such as Marcello Mastroianni and Anthony Perkins made this way of wearing a scarf into a form of art. It looks simple and effortless, yet it is surprisingly difficult to master. To be completely honest; this is more about having the right attitude than the right technique for tying your scarf.
THE SINGLE KNOT
The key to transitional dressing is smart layering. Our lightweight printed wool scarves are simple to tie and can easily be stored in your bag or suit jacket whenever the temperature rises. Go for a simple single knot to provide your tie with an elegant drape.
